This is the 3rd scarf woven on the ‘Steep Curve’ threaded warp. I love catkins and this year seemed like a bumper year for them in the woods and at the roadsides, looking so beautiful that I just had to have a try at representing them in weaving. The scarf is 100% silk yarn hand dyed in my workshop. The warp colours were all achieved with natural dye plants which I’ve tried out over some years. The weft greens were dyed with synthetic dyes. The scarf measures approximatley 11” wide by 70” long, plus the tasselled fringe at either end.

Care advice: when necessary wash in luke warm water with detergent, (I use shampoo), and steam press when nearly dry.
