Venetian Windows

£0.00

The 2nd scarf woven on the Rising Bubbles warp but with a different lifting sequence, which produced these long, narrow and pointed arch shapes, reminding me of the windows on many of the buildings beside the canals in Venice. The warp is alternate ends of yellow and orange, in various shades. The weft is in a range of blues, gradateing in each of the 3 repeats of the pattern, from dark to mid blue. Warp and weft are both the same 30/2s Chinese spun silk, hand dyed in my workshop. The finished scarf measures approximately 11” wide by 70” long, plus the tasselled fringe at either end.

Care advice: when necessary wash in luke warm water with detergent, (I use shampoo), and steam press when nearly dry.

PRICE £210, sold at West Horsley Place, 24.11.2024
