The Greens of Trees in Spring
The Greens of Trees in Spring
The second scarf woven on the 4 colour echo weave threading. The miriad shades of green in the trees that line the roads in springtime are such a beautiful sight that I just had to try to reproduce it in weaving. The threading was adapted from a weave draft I found in the AVL School folder on the handweaving.net website. The lifting sequence that produced this pattern was an adaptation of one in Marianne Stubenitsky’s wonderful book ‘Weaving with Echo & Iris’. The yarn is 100% silk and was all hand dyed in my workshop. The scarf measures 11” wide X 68” long, plus the tasselled fringe at either end.
Care advice: when necessary cool hand wash with detergent, (I use shampoo), and steam press while still slightly damp.
Price £210, includes gift box and UK postage.
