The Progression of Autumn

£0.00

The first scarf woven on a 4 colour echo weave warp. The threading and shaft lifting plans are from Marian Stubenitski’s brilliant book ‘Weaving With Echo And Iris’. The sequence of the colours was designed to represent the progression of autumn colours, beginning with the last of the summer greens, through the yellowing and browning to the oranges and reds and ending with the hot yellows and oranges that seemed to go on and on in the autumn of 2022. Woven in 100% silk yarn which I dyed in my workshop. The scarf measures approximately 70” long by 11” wide.
