This design uses a 2 colour echo threading plan by Marian Stubenitsky, but with a different shaft lifting sequence to priduce a completely different pattern. The warp is a 3 ply Japanese silk yarn which I overdyed to make bright blues and bright reds from bright pink and pale pink. The weft yarn is a 2 ply Chinese silk dyed to shades of green to illustrate the lavender fields in sunlight and shadow. The scarf measures 70” x 11”, plus the tasselled fringe at either end.

Care advice: hand wash in tepid water with a little detergent, (I use shampoo), and steam press to bring out the full shine of the silk.
