The third scarf from a 5 end satin/sateen warp using silk from the stash of an old weaving friend who died last year. The two sides of this one are quite different; one side has yellow, orange and red squares that seem to float in asky-like background of blues and purples, while the other side has squares of the blues and purples dotted about amongst yellow, orange and red recrangles. The yellow, orange and red of the warp were all achieved by overdyeing pale pink, pale biege and brilliant pink in an onion skin dyebath. The weft is my usual 30/2s silk all dyed in my workshop. The scarf measures approximately 11” x 70”.
